That is why we do not price by square foot or work from a fixed package. Older homes often need attention to the substrate, framing, and drainage before any tile is discussed. Newer homes usually have sound rough-in but builder-standard finishes and a tight shower, which turns the project into a question of layout and material quality. Coastal homes add salt-influenced air, which affects hardware and fixture choices.

Slab-on-grade construction is the norm across much of the area, so moving a drain is a considered decision rather than a casual one. Humidity is constant year-round, which makes ventilation and waterproofing detail more important here than in drier climates. Water in parts of the region is mineral-rich, which shows on glass and fixtures and influences what we recommend for finishes and maintenance.

Permitting and inspection requirements differ between the City of Jacksonville and St. Johns County. We account for the applicable process in the schedule for your project so timelines are realistic from the start.
